Cut out with spline?

Anyone knows if there is a way to cutout/slipe a model using a spline? Im thinkin of the effect as slice or cur, when it closes the vertexes, if you understand?

You can easily do this in archicad.

But cant seem to find the solution here.

shape merge modifier.

it won't cut right away but you can select to merge with the base mesh then select what you want to delete or detach.
