janisaufmanis Posted July 22, 2016 Share Posted July 22, 2016 Hello, Straight to the point: I want to use HRDi map as my light source, but I wish to override reflection by setting another bitmap as my reflection map like this: RenderSetup/Vray/Environment/ReflectionRefraction slot. The problem is that all reflections I'm getting are still from my HDRi only. I have a panorama view in my material editor set to environ and spherical. I have adjusted ( more or less, since that's not the issue here) map coordinates and I see it in my viewport background. I have tried pretty much everything I can imagine could work, but the only way I've got the reflections working, is by replacing HDRi map in my Vray dome light with my reflection map instance from material editor. Thanks to this forum, I've got to know what is environment reflection override and am able to easily create panorama bitmaps, but please help me to get those reflection overriden, because right now I'm only half way there. michaelholzinger Posted July 25, 2016 Share Posted July 25, 2016 don't use the domelight to light up your scene - use the RenderSetup/Vray/Environment/ lightning slot instead. or maybe it helps if you set the domelight to invisible.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
