jaik
hello there, I got some weired issue with vray 3.20 and 3ds max 2016. I was working on 3ds max 2012 and vray 2.3 for a scene and saving out as png 48bit with alpha. I opened same file in 3ds max 2016 with 3.20 to gain some speedy rendering, it was pleasure to see that i got 20-30% speed with embree enabled 3ds max 2016. Here are some issues going on now with the file. (1) I can see same appearance of png file in max 2012-Vray-VFB, Windows Explorer, Windows photo viewer, photoshop, but problem is it not same happening in max 2016 with same file and. I can see rendered image same in Vray-VFB, windows explorer, photoshop, but its opening very bright in windows photo viewer. the png file opened correctly without brightening the image in photo viewer when saved with max 2012. (2) Secondly its even worse thing going on now. I cant save the file as png now in max 2016 and vray 3.2 when opened max 2012 file into max 2016. It renders without any hassle in backburner, 3ds max frame buffer, and vray VFB. problem comes when it show a popup window saying it can not write the file png file. I saved in other format like jpeg, tiff, targa it saves unfortunately not saving the .png format. Every time i got another story after renders. Backburner throws error can not write to file and restarted the renders again and again:( [iI] 3ds max Frame buffer renders then show this "Error writing to file" [iII] Vray-VFB- i specified the path it renders the file but cant write to file. otherway tried without given any path, it renders popup same window"Error writing to file" but in vfb i can save manually Beauty pass but not the other passes like ref, spec. i attached couple of images to get some idea.Thanks.
