Distributed Rendering Issue

Hello ,

 

I was trying distributed rendering by following this link :-

I did all the steps very carefully . But still it's not working and showing some error.

I am attaching click of the error shown in v-ray messages . Please check and help .

Most of the problem with distributed rendering are because windows firewall or any other antivirus firewall.

One easy way to test is shutting down everything. be sure that remote computer have full access to the files, read and write.

There are many threads here regarding this. I know I've helped on a couple. It's been awhile since I've had to set up DR, so again I refer you to the other threads here. Post back if still having trouble.

Having the same issue.

 

Fixed 2 of 3 of the render nodes by uninstalling the spawner, and manually starting the spawner. The third computer is still causing problems so, I am uninstalling Max and VRay and reinstalling in hopes that it solves the problem. You can try this as well.

Uninstall VRay then reboot.

Uninstall Max then reboot.

Install Max then reboot.

Install VRay then reboot.

 

DO NOT INSTALL THE SPAWNER. Manually start DR.

 

Try the steps above.

I studied most of the forums before posting , Most people skipped the step of this part . Can you post the link if you remember that post ?

One important step that was always left out of the instructions is to set the Spawner service to run under administrative user credentials. Get properties on the service, then change 'Logon' to admin user/pass, instead of Local. BUT... this was back with VRay 2.4 and earlier. Worth a look tho, me thinks.
