Your thoughts on Site Logins

Hey everyone,

I have been trying to devise a solution on how I can consolodate the main site login that is used to submit images and the forum login that is used to log into this forum. Unfourtunately the more I try to wrap my head around a solution the more impossible it seems. Situations like users who have registered in both places but have used a different email address would be a huge programming feat that could take months of planning and programming. I am wondering what you guys think about having two logins and how inconvienient you think it is.

Hate 'em.

But I simply let your site put its cookie on my computer and I always use a 'recent history' link to go straight to "get-daily".

If I had to actually log in each time I would not visit very often. In fact, I cannot remember what the log-in is, so I couldn't visit even if I wanted to.

But you can't please everybody so don't worry about it and don't throw thousands of dollars of your time into a little bit of added convenience for my sake.

I dont even see the need to register to anything in order to submit images to the gallery. The forum - thats understandable, sure, but the gallery... dont all submitions get to you anyway, and its you who upload them to the front page?

Wouldn't bother me anyhow.

Actually you have to. The reason for this is becuase if each image was submitted individually with different image and user info you would not be able to search by country, name etc. Also you would be required to enter in all of your personal info for each image every time you uploaded. With a login, you register and that info is automatically associated with your image. Lastly if your email changed for example, you would have to edit every image you submitted. With a profile you fix your email and they are all updated. There are other reasons as well, but those are the main ones.

I don't think that's worth the trouble. If you want to upgrade something, I think that re-sorting the links in some sort of small banners will allow people access to their content because now it's too much time consuming, to try and find an office or just browse ....
