jesperlarsen
I am looking for a good wood material to use on glue laminated columns and beams. Best practice on how to apply the texture would also be appreciated. Edited August 4, 2016 by jesperlarsen
Chris MacDonald
Just slice up a large wood texture and re-arrange it so that it forms narrow bands? As for texturing an object, if you use the sweep modifier, it will automatically generate mapping coordinates that follow the path of the spline, thus giving the impression that the wood has been bent to that shape. jesperlarsen
At the moment my beams and columns are straight - but thank you for the tip for curved beams.
