Frosty
i use cinema, but i would use box modelling and hyper nurbs. I believe a smooth modifier is your equivilent. The secret to snow in that it isnt smooth and it should look blue in shadow, light yellow/orange in sunlight.
Eric
I belive you're looking for something like this thread: http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/showthread.php?t=460&highlight=snow The source for the script: http://www.nikclark.com/scripts/snow/index.htm I've tried it with good success. Here is a sample image where I used it. It worked great with the grass island - the grass is a VRay displacement. The snow has some variation in thickness, covering some of the grass, revealing the rest. The parking lot is a photoshop combination of 2 images - snow and no snow. I wanted the asphalt to look like it was lightly dusted with powder. Anyway, good luck with the plugin. Give it a try with a few test objects drawn to the approximate size of your building, and play around with the settings. By all means, let us see the final results!!!
