jeanchevallier
Hello guys my name is Jean and i need help with a V-Ray problem i have made some 3D objects that i want to render to textures with V-Ray. i am using V-Ray with default settings and i'll apply a simple VRayMtl material But i get some weird textures and i can see some lines which should not be here. For informations i tried another render engine named Corona 1.4 and my textures are good so the problem is really with V-Ray, i tried to uninstall it and re install but it do not change anything. I'll add some picturures . Software: 3DS Max 2016 V-Ray 3.40.01 (Default settings) Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
Devin Johnston
Did you follow these render to texture guidelines? https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3MAX/Basic+Texture+Baking+with+V-Ray

Devin Johnston
Do you have any co planer surfaces?
jeanchevallier
My object is placed in a box for the rendering, like on this screenshot. Its what you means Devin ?
Devin Johnston
Co planer objects are two pieces of geometry that share the same space, I can't tell from your images if this is the problem but you should check.

jeanchevallier
Devin, i think i have found the problem! i been to make a new 3dsmax scene and made a cube with extrudes again , then a unwrap and render to texture , and this time all was good ! I guess something was wrong with my first scene . And it was a old scene to be honest , so maybe it was the problem. I want to tank you very much for your help it was nice from you :-)
