TomasEsperanza
Hi all, I've just created a group that you may be interested in. Your membership will be most welcome. I'm hoping to get some knowledgeable contributors. The idea is to help more CG artists navigate the practical challenges of moving from CPU over to GPU, and once there, to keep up to speed with the technology available. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1797500417129685/

Nikolaos M
A new single slot gtx 1070 from Galax http://hexus.net/tech/news/graphics/100510-galax-unveils-single-slot-geforce-gtx-1070-graphics-card/ is on the way (release ~Q1 2017). It has a single 8-pin pcie power connector and it would be possible to install up to 7 of them in a proper motherboard, like these: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dHGj4D/asus-x99-e-10g-ws-ssi-ceb-lga2011-3-motherboard-x99-e-10g-ws https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3TWrxr/asrock-motherboard-x99wse10g

Is there a similar solution for more than one gpus out there Thomas? Indeed there is. Check out Amfeltec GPU Cluster (a more affordable option) or (for a nice tidy solution) the Netstor NA255A. Oh if you meant for laptops, that's different; these are for desktop/workstations. However, while the X-GPU (external gpu) market for laptops is developing, I've yet to see multi-gpu X-GPU suitable for laptops, although they might be out there. TomasEsperanza
Yes, I meant for Laptops, like the ones posted before, with separate psu inside etc. Actually thinking about it, I think Amfeltec and Netstor may do products that allow multi-gpus to run from a Laptop, worth checking their product line carefully. http://www.netstor.com.tw/ Looks like Expresscard connection is available as an option: http://amfeltec.com/products/gpu-oriented-cluster/ Edited January 4, 2017 by TomasEsperanza
