Unused maps in asset browser

Hi all.

 

I have loads (I mean a lot) of unused maps shown in the asset browser.

 

I am positive they are not applied to any objects, nor are they in the material editor.

 

What makes me even more sure is that when I complete a resource collection to add all used maps to a particular folder, the unused maps are not collected.

 

Max 2015 / Vray 3.40.03

I'm not sure if there is a question hidden somewhere in your message, but if you want to get rid of all those unused maps, you can use the Relink Bitmap script to purge them all.

 

Here's how:

Install the script: http://www.colinsenner.com/scripts/relink-bitmaps

Open your asset browser, mark all your unwanted maps, right click and "strip path"

Open the Missing bitmaps script and press the button: "Delete all missing maps".
