shijianzheng1
Hello, I am currently working on a masterplan project and I will need to produce aerial views to show my proposed scheme. I have a very heavy detailed 3D model of the city (Brussels) which is not textured, and I have google earth which has the whole city in 3D as well . What is a good way to form the base, or surrounding context for a render? is there a way to combine the google earth texture with the more pristine geometry from my 3D model? or is one better to use than the other for renders? I used Microstation, AutoCad and 3DS Max with Vray Thanks
Nicolai Bongard
If you have a picture from where you are supposed to have your render camera you could use projection mapping to "overlay" the aerial picture onto your model. However that requires you to match a camera to the picture.
