Morne Erasmus
Hi all Any recommendations for a FREE viewer for Google Cardboard that supports TB and SBS equirectangular images? The VR guide says Holodeck and IrisVR, but I want something free for clients where they don't need to log in in to anyhting. Something very simple. Add image to phone, load viewer, stick in phone
beestee
Pretty sure IrisVR Scope has a free option, and they recently added the ability to tie the images to a pin rather than by account, so you can share from your account with a pin for the client to access only what you want them to. They also added support for both stereo formats with the latest version. I have not tested it since they left beta and added the paid subscription though. Of all of the different ones that I have tried in the past, IrisVR Scope was the simplest and most straightforward for me to explain to clients. philippelamoureux
I've recently heard about theviewer.co, it looks very easy to use. it's web-based.
Scott Dombrowski
krpano is also web based. Just send the link to your client, no app to install. Here's an archviz example (not my content).
Morne Erasmus
I wanted something offline because that's simpler for me to get going. Joep is apparently busy setting something like this up using Unity. In the meantime I decided to go the KRPano route as that's the simplest way for clients (even though that is more labour intensive for me). Easy for clients because no tech stuff involved like copying to phone etc. Edited November 16, 2016 by Morne
