komyali
my good friend firm want to spend money on new computers, mainly autocad 3ds max with vray. But I think it can be better, what do you think Asus mb x99-a Intel Core i7-5930K SSD Samsung 850 EVO 250 GM 2,5" ssd Silverstone Precision SST PS05B mounting and testing (I thik they are take money here) cpc intel arctic freezer i32 intel 2011-v3 USB2to3 USB3.0 to USB2.0 20 pin male to 9 pin kabl adapter, front usb header ( i dont even know what is this) hdd int 3,5 3 tb toshiba PA4293E-1hno-rk Sapphire nitro+ Radeon RX480 8G Power supply Coler master psu gm series g750m 750w Gskill 32gb 4x8 ddr4 2400hz ripjaws f4-2400c15q-32grr That is one configuration I think this one goes to 3D deparment, they will order multiple computers, I am not sure how radeon goes with 3ds max and vray RT cuda? Also I would switch GPU (with wat gtx in that rang) and cooler with noctua!. Also look for low profile memory second configuration gigabyte GA z170x gaming 3-eu cpu intel core i7-6700 gskill 16G 2x8 2400 ripjawsf42400c15d-16grr ssd samsung 250GB 2,5" SSD SATAIII mz-75e250B Silverstone Precision SST PS05B mounting and testing ?! USB2to3 USB3.0 to USB2.0 20 pin male to 9 pin kabl adapter, front usb header hdd int 3,5 3 tb toshiba PA4293E-1hno-rk Power supply Coler master psu gm series g750m 750w GAINWARD GTX 1060 3G 192 bit 426018336-3743 multiple computers with this config. I would switch GTX with diffrent manufacturer, asus or gigabyte lowe profile memory, noctua cooler again They will take also dell monitors S2715h black They sell this as high tech configuration, and to me it looks like it is already old 2 or 3 years (not all components) What do you think, how much they need to pay for this config, and do they need to change something? Nikolaos M
The chassis is old (6 years old already) and it doesn't have usb 3.0 in the front I/O panel, so they picked the adapter for that reason (I think). So the chassis is off imo. There are newer and much better options in the market. Samsung 850 can be changed to 750 EVO which sells at a lower price, at least in my country. Don't throw money on a i7 5930K. Either pick the 5820K or the newer 6800K with a motherboard compatible with Broadwell-E cpus, ex. Asus X99-II. As for the gpu, I agree. I would put my money on a GeForce gtx. A 1060 6gb would be a decent choice and I agree with you about the brands. Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte and MSI would be better choices compared to Gainward I think. I can't check it right now, but I think that Gainward offers a 2 years warranty, while the previously mentioned brands offer 3. The psu is OK, but I would prefer a 550/650W golden in your case. The new high end Corsair and EVGA psus offer 10 years of warranty. And last, the monitor. I think it's a poor choice for professional use. Decent 27" 1440p monitors start from less than 400€ right now in Europe, ~300-350 I think.
joelmcwilliam
Go for a i7 6700(k). High single core speed is what you want. Don't go for anything more expensive unless you do some serious rendering. In that case you must reply if you want a machine mainly for rendering. Gtx 1060 (or 1050 Ti if budget is thight). A ssd. Unless you are playing competitive first person shooters and other games that demand a very fast reaction time: get yourself a big ass (>40") 4k monitor, or even get a uhd tv. It will seriously boost productivity. Btw: second config has a overclockable mobo, but the cpu is non overclock. Any plans with that? Dimitris Tolios
Unless there is a real rush for new PCs, there is merit in waiting a little bit more. The release of the "Kaby Lake" based i7-7700K is around the corner. And leaked numbers show it to be a notable upgrade vs. the 6700K, and nullifying the difference in multi-thraeding performance vs. current 5xxx hex cores. Dimitris Tolios
CPU intel i7-6700K 4.00 GHz CPU Cooler Cryorig H5 MoBo Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5 mATX GPU Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 6GB RAM Corsair LPX DDR4 2666 2x16GB OS Drive Samsung 850 EVO 500GB M.2 Case Corsair 88R mATX PSU Corsair RM750x This is a ~$1,000 configuration in US. $900 + tax. 950 EVO M.2 is better than the 850 Sata, and the 960 EVO is downright amazing - just to make me regret that 950 Pro of mine even more! - but I don't know when the 960 EVO will be available, so 850 EVO should do. Cooler is better, RAM is 32GB with just 2 dimms so you can go 64GB without any redundant parts if need be. mATX cause "big enough", and 88R tower is super affordable, yet classy and office appropriate - that Silverstone is dated and cheesy IMHO. komyali
thnks bro, you always help me ! anyway does it feel difference on SSD? also where is case of these ssd?
Dimitris Tolios
Nah, you won't feel difference for most stuff - perhaps when loading large apps / installing large apps. Larges games - definitely. But for office use and working over the network ... just app loading times. The 850 Pro SATA maxes out to like 480MB/s, a 950 Pro is more like 2.3GB/s (~5x as fast), but 960 EVO is reported to be more than 3GB/s. Writes are just as impressively faster than with SATA drives - again 5x as fast and close to 2GB/s. M.2 drives have no case...you just plug them onto the motherboard directly. * NOTE: the 850 EVO M.2 is using the same form factor as the NVMe 950 / 960 EVO etc, but it is also using a SATA-like controller, not a true NVMe / PCIe, so it is limited to 850 Pro "sata-like" speeds. When I say it is better, I mean vs. the SATA 850 EVO and the rest of the TLC SATA drives in its price range.
