TomD_Arch
So I went to open and old model file from Max 2014 in 2017 this morning... The model file contains generic buildings I am working on to use in the background as entourage. They look like this in 2014... Also, it render fine. James Vella
try upgrade to sp3 then reopen the file. My guess is that it has groups, these are broken in vanilla max and fixed in sp2 or
TomD_Arch
No luck. updated from SP2 to SP3 last night. And it is happening with a new scene and geometry created in Max. 2017... I may have to just see when I go back to work next week if this might be graphics card related???
Stephen Thomas
I've had similar problems passing files to a client in max2014 just due to not being on same service pack. Collapsing the modifier stack for problem objects resolved the issue.
H A
Have you tried merging the element into a new file? Might resolve some of the issues? Otherwise I've had luck collapsing the modfier stacks as Stephen mentioned.
