muzaffarkhan
hello everyone, i use sketch up 2015 with vray 2.0, when ever i render i get these type of pixels in the wall and solution? (its in the picture shown below) those lights from the standing lamp falls on the wall and those pixels appear, any solution to avoid it? n my resolution is 9000x4191
Chris MacDonald
That's caused by the irradiance map. Also, that's a really really strange resolution, what's that about?
muzaffarkhan
Then how do i solve that problem? And thats the aspect ratio of 9000x8500 i get 9000x4191
Francisco Penaloza
As Chris mentioned that seems to be Irradiance map, too low. What I am guessing is you adjusted the number on the maximum and minim, but didn't adjust the number of samples and interpolation. Try to use a preset instead, height quality should do. If you still get this problem increase the interpolation value, but don't go crazy on it. The larger the interpolation, your GI will become more blurry and your loose details in contact shadows. There are present in your VRay windows, use some medium or high preset for irradiace. This values are a good starting point because each scene is different and may need adjustment, but from your image I can tell samples are smaller and interpolation is too low. A example of high settings would be Min rate=-3, max rate=0, subdiv could go to 100 or less and interpolation, to be sure that you'll have a clean GI you could use a value close to number of subdivs, in this case 80 or less. But again if you put more light in your scene this values can go lower. render time will increase accordingly. Your room may be in need of more light too, that also make your GI work hard to get clean images.
