komyali
I have two boxes in view, and when box 1 move over box 2 i want box one to stop when it hit box 2. So want collision properties in view?

komyali
:D if it is yes then tell me how if it is no then i have to simulate with massfx...
Francisco Penaloza
:D if it is yes then tell me how if it is no then i have to simulate with massfx... yes, exactly, that's one way to do it. Other way would be use reactor. or manually keying Max by default do not understand collisions.
komyali
tnx bro, maybe i didnt expressed myself on best way, collision have mass velocity speed and other stuff, for that you need simulation ( i am not stupid like those two think I am ), I was thinking more like 2 solid objects that recognize each other and cant pass through each other when you move them through viewport. Francisco Penaloza
So the question then is what you are actually trying to archive, because by default, 3D Max will not detect collisions, but with some gizmos and forces you may be able to archive but this depend of what you really are trying to do. I read all your other post and I think they are all connected in some way Maybe in the Autodesk Area web forum you could find more people dedicated to animations and motion graphics, and they may have better solutions to your project. komyali
they are not connected other post is for some type of qube tiles (solved ), and this one is multiple objects that i want to stack and lean on each other, I can do manually move one by one but there is more than 3000 objects... array wouldn't work because they have different dimensions and shape didnt look at scripts, i hate scripts, probably there is one, but that is desperate option
Francisco Penaloza
oh for that, just a simple simulation will do. it won't be that complicated, just assign physics to the objects and let them drop in place, they will pile in top of each other. komyali
yes z axis will work, what about x? I found different approach, try to create pattern and then array... this is going to be long night
