Zdravko Barisic
Do you have some hints for rendering big resolution images in Vray? Lets say the image size would be 7500x5000, so its not real king size, but just big image. How low I can go with settings? How about this: LC> 3-4000 Irr Map> Low or Very Low? 30/15? Noise treshold> 0.01 color treshold> 0.01 adaptive image sampler> 1/3 I how no expirience in this filed, so any advice would nice. Testing is not solution, ofcourse, as it would take long. Thanks! Francisco Penaloza
Gi values will depend mostly of the type of illumination that you have in your scene, some values take in to consideration the output size but it does not make a big difference really. IF you image look's good at 2k or 4k it should be fine up to 10K. depending of how much RAM you have, you may need to disable VRay buffer window and save as VRay image instead of EXR or PSD. Distributed rendering is also recommended with large images. I have 40Gb RAM a single 6 core 1660V4 Xeon and I can render no problems 12K images.
