Hey Everyone,

I work as a 3d designer. I do Interiors, Exteriors (villas) and Landscape designs. I do not have an architectural qualification, but what I learnt mostly is on the job training.

My question is that I am now wanting to do 3d visualizations for High Rise and Other Complicated buildings. I have attached a few images as examples. What I want to know is have any of you guys know of any tutorials or courses I should follow to create such designs?. Have most of you self though your selves, or followed some courses. Please let me know. Because, sometimes I have a bit of a hard time trying to read the CAD drawings and convert it into 3d.

Please help me out. Thanks.

Basically all of these architects provide you with a 3d model of the building, since they are designing it in 3d anyway.

So thats usually not the problem, its more that obviously for a project that high-profile, they tend to (as Philippe said) hire viz companies that have a little more experience and manpower just to be more flexible and efficient during the process. It also kind of helps if you actually have an architecture background (also when trying to work for the better/larger firms), just makes the communication with the clients so much easier.

But regarding the main topic, the more high-profile the project becomes, the higher the chances youll receive a 3d model anyway.

Vyonyx has a tutorial for their high rise rendering techniques I think? If you want to design a high rise that's convincing you'll need to read up on high rise building construction, there are common approaches to floor heights, building module etc. that will help to make it more convincing.
