dontorino
Hey, my problem is that when i render in bucket mode, my image takes about 2 hours, but today i left it on progressive overnight and after 7 hours it was still on pass 4 and full of noise. Time limit was disabled and used .005 noise treshold. AA min 1 max 100 and other settings pretty much deault. Max, Vray 3.
Chris MacDonald
Sooooooo is the scene of a box and a vray sun, or is it a 120 billion polygon scene with displacement, HDRI lighting and a million indoor lights? Need some info here.

Corey Beaulieu
It is no answer to the problem, but what if you just set it to a 12 hour render? I am guessing that there is a sampling issue in the simplicity and vray is saying you are done. Progressive has never done me wrong if I set a time. I have never set it to 00. Chris MacDonald
You say full of noise (and I don't doubt you) but can you show an example/comparison between the progressive and busket? Some people here seem to zoom in to %1600 and say "look, see, there's the noise". It is still recommended that you use the bucket renderer for final production renders, and the progressive for look development.
