CliveG
Whilst uploading this pic for another thread (glass blocks) I may as well ask the question as to how best to achieve a rather crazy look for this space. I want a large pipe to appear to crash through one of the walls (like a tunnel boring machine would) but with dozens of smaller pipes snaking out of the end of this large pipe with fibre optic lights pointing in all directions kinda like a "Medusa hair" sort of thing? I could just tediously model it up and end up with it looking very contrived, but for a start I'd like to keep a modifier stack so I can re-use / amend later and I don't really want to spend hours with the bend modifier and all that laboriously moving each strand and making sure it doesn't interfere with another - probably ending with zillions of poly's too. I want some sort of 3d random noise, that won't cause collisions and will maintain the roundness of the tubing too. Any good ideas...
SkylineArch
perhaps try some tree growing tool, minus the leaves?
