judithchu
Hi all, I am getting a 4-way SLI GTX 1080 cards for my rendering workstation. Does anybody knows if the 3ds max program with Vray RT will run all CUDA chips? Thanks!!
Francisco Penaloza
yes, but no need to make them SLI.
judithchu
but without the sli, will it be limited to only one card's speed and performance? Thank you!
Chris MacDonald
No, it wont.
Francisco Penaloza
VRay or any GPU rendering does not uses that technology, the software look for that smaller VRam and apply that to the whole frame, some other GPU rendering can push memory to the regular RAM. Besides you are buying 4 of the same card.
