ahmetkose
Hi All I attached two photos, u can see original photo but when i render this scene, broken reflections became behind the glass part even i tried close GI reflections but result is same. Thanks for help
Tom Sproule
Hi Ahmet, I'm not sure what you mean by 'broken reflections.' Do you mean that you can see through the building and you shouldn't be able to because it's frosted glass? If so please post your frosted glass material settings so we can see. If not, please ring or mark exactly what you see as the problem. Thanks, Tom
Chris MacDonald
I can't see any "broken reflections"? Could you please elaborate?
ahmetkose
See the first picture, behind the glass part, the objects overlapping and became bad reflactions
Chris MacDonald
"physics" Those reflections/refractions are what would happen. Perhaps use a render engine that uses mickey mouse physics, or drawing it by hand if you want something that wouldn't happen in the real world? jackbird
Do you mean the unblurred bright rectangle where the open elevator door behind the frosted glass on the ground level is?
Francisco Penaloza
I think that you meant that your re flexion is not aligned with the actual geometry, it creating a double object effect. As mentioned by others all what you see is a physical simulation, so in reality under the same circumstances you'll see the same. If I am correct in my assumption, you could simply move the camera maybe be perfectly perpendicular to your glass door, that way the reflections will align with the behind geometry. Other way could be to reduce your index of refraction in the glass, this will reduce the light bending produced by glass. maybe hide some lights to reflections or use an environment overwrite to only illuminate but not show on reflections. All those trick may help you to get the image that you like, but you need to understand that VRay and most Ray-tracer renderings work with physical rules and you need to deal with them as such.
