zoom limits in 3d max

is there a limit to how far you can zoom out in 3dmax? I'm doing masterplan on a large site and zoom out stops at a certain point. Is there a way to override this? thanks.

Set your system units to something reasonable for a large site. This does not affect your display units, but you will probably have to do this in a new file; the problem will persist if you do it in an existing one.
