zuzannakulik
Hi guys, I'm quite new to V-ray, having it for a few months now. I never post new threads, I usually try to find someone else's answers, however I don't know how to even ask Google about what has happened to my render today. So I have been working on a project for a few days now, getting pretty nice renders, and then suddenly, out of blue when I rendered another view, I got this really weird reflection and shape of all materials. I have not touched any lights, textures or settings, I have just changed the view, clicked 'render' and it has happened without any reason... I got the same issue earlier today with the other project. I have no idea what it might be? As I said, I have not even opened asset editor, I rendered a few scenes with success and then this. I have attached a screenshot if someone could help it would be great! thanks
Tom Sproule
Hi Sue, Well I am not familiar with Sketchup, but if something like that was happening in Max I'd think it was some sort of corruption inside the Max file and suggest merging everything into a new scene and see if that handles it. I will suspect that it will. Best, Tom
John Dollus
did you render the previous view using a saved LC/IR map file and forget to turn it off when you changed the view?
zuzannakulik
Thanks for the answers. No, I have not used any map file. I've tried to move the whole scene to the new file and it first worked, but I ended up having to move the whole thing all over again and now even that doesn't help. I have Sketchup installed on both Mac and Windows and I have just moved the file from Win to Mac to see if the same happens and unfortunately it does! By the way, while rendering the progress window shows 'error loading plugin library rt_cuda.dll - do you think it has something to do with this? And how can I fix it? thanks
Larissa Holderness
I know you are not using 3D Max ... however, I have noticed that when I import SKP scenes into Max the reflection color slot is white causing everything to be more reflective than it should be. Double check your reflective map/color slot in SKP and make sure it isn't white.
zuzannakulik
hey guys, I have found the source of my problem. It turns out that my AMD doesn't support GPU and that's why my renders were crashing. I have turned off GPU acc and I only use Progressive feature and it works. In case anyone has the same issue, if you get rt_cuda.dll error just try to turn off GPU and it should work. Thanks for all your replies
