lancehohip
Hi there, Im seem to be having rather frustrating problems with a model drawn in revit, exported as fbx and imported as a link fbx into 3dsmax. A process I do successfully until this instance. When i load the fbx link, 3ds max changes the position of certain elements of the model. It wont allow me to move it into its correct position. Is there a reason why 3ds max should alter a revit model when importing? thank you
Francisco Penaloza
Unless you moved the model after importing, 3DMax should not change it location randomly. Maybe is a scale problem?
lancehohip
My point exactly Its never happened before... the item that moves is a sweep feature that is attached/linked to the wall. In revit it looks correct but in max the sweep moves away from the wall as soon as its imported
Tom Sproule
Is everything collapsed in Revit before you export it? Try that and if it still exports in the wrong place, then try resetting the xform and collapsing and export. I'm not sure how you collapse the xform in revit, but that would work in max.
