Backburner Fix

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Thought id post this as Im forever seeing backburner issues and have found a fairly stable solution which seems to work across versions.

No Plugin Required to run job

  1. Shut down all backburner servers
  2. Open Backburner Monitor
  3. Right Click on each server > Delete server
  4. Open all License Servers/Nodes go to C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local\
  5. Delete the folder “backburner”
  6. Restart all PCs
  7. Start Licence Manager
  8. Start Each Server
  9. You will need to put in the Server IP Address for the Licence Manager

I actually ran into this issue as well recently. For me, the key was that Backburner Manager had to be started before the Servers. If the Server was running first, just stopping it and starting it again didn't seem to work. I had to exit Server on all render nodes, exit Manager and start it up again, then start up Server on the nodes. For whatever reason, that seemed to do the trick.

But if that doesn't work, then yeah, a reset of Backburner like you described should do it.
