Francisco Penaloza
The actually MB size of the scene is not a direct reference to how much RAM you are using to render. Also, this will depend on the render engine you are using. Could you tell us, what render engine you are using, Version of Max, How Much RAM your machine has, are you using network or distributed rendering or just a single workstation? Type of lighting, GI, any post effect. Also, a misunderstood concept of using Proxies. A proxy only save memory while working on your file, your master scene will be lighter or small in Mb size but when rendering all that geometry is dynamically loaded anyways, if you see your proxy in the shot then all that geometry will be loaded and use RAM, as much as if it was a regular static geometry.
