Subdivs not working

I was working on project and unfortunately subdivs option is not enable.

 

Can any one please help me out what is the reason and how to enable it

It is explained in the manual of V-Ray 3.X because the new feature of universal sampler all local subdivisions are disabled.

If you need to unlock ( I will totally do not recommend this)

Go to the render panel under Global DMC click advanced then check 'use local subdivs'

Because many people do not understand how V-Ray works and for 99% of the time a universal system would work a lot faster with better results.

in your case I would reset all setting to default and adjust the noise threshold, that's all that you need to think about it.

Yup read up about how to use vray 3. I won't go into details here (the vray forum on chaos group covers this), but vray is now set up in a more fool proof way to speed up rendering, and remove a lot of the tweaking we had to do manually.
