Jennifer
Did you try TurboSquid for models? Or 3dcafe? You may have to set up the animation of the parts manually. Any specific car you need?

MongoMan
have you thought about actually rigging your car you can use wire parameters to control the rotation of say the steering wheel z rotation to the wheels z rotation for example so that when you turn the steering wheel the wheels will turn and react as a normal car would you can add an expression to your wire parameter for the wheel like 0.3*Z_Rotation .It sounds complex but if you are able to find a good tutorial on car rigging you will see it is actually quite simple and would give you alot of versitality for a good car animation. There are some free video tutorials out there they are in polish but dont worry about that (if you dont speak polish)just turn the sound down and watch the picture and copy what is being done on the screen. check this out it may help you http://www.max3d.pl/downclick.php?id=vidtut4
