guenther Malek
Which criteria does determine the speed of GPUs rendering VRay RT? Is it the number of CUDA Cores? With Octane Render, for instance, a GTX 680 is slower than a GTX 580, though it has three times as many CUDA cores... Is there a benchmark for different hardware used with VRay RT? Thanks gue Edited July 10, 2017 by guenthermalek

guenther Malek
Sorry, what exactly do you mean? I am using CUDA only. Edited July 10, 2017 by guenthermalek
guenther Malek
Hello, is there anybody out there? I would really love to find out what hardware(GPU) works best with VRay RT GPU! Please help!
jamesgallagher
I would really love to find out what hardware(GPU) works best with VRay RT GPU! This is from Chaos Group, if you're wanting to know what hardware works best: https://labs.chaosgroup.com/index.php/rendering-rd/v-ray-gpu-benchmarks-on-top-of-the-line-nvidia-gpus/ If you're not into the super high-end hardware I would stick with Nvidia's 9xx or 10xx series of cards. GTX 970 or higher, GTX 1060 or higher.
