theark1
Hi all, I'm trying to get the original white colour of the background through the window of my room. I've pratically assigned a white colour to the background...so if I delete the glass of the window, I can see the original colour, but in the presence of the glass, all the background turns into grey. The glass is a VRay material, of course. How can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance
Tom Sproule
Hi, Make sure the refraction of your glass is completely white, set to 255. Otherwise it will be bringing in some of the diffuse colour. Second thing to check is that fog colour is set to completely white. As anything lower will bring the fog colour in to the window. Third, you can open the environment rollout of the render settings and turn on refraction/reflection and set the colur to white. I would try each one and do a test between each to see if it's solved. I would not turn on refraction/reflection and make it white unless absolutely necessary. The reason is it can introduce odd white reflectioms to the scene. Best, Tom
