komyali
I need dense poly because later I want to use this arc for print, so I have no idea how to model it ( have multiple arches so i cant optimize every). Here is problem when I use sweep. Optimize and adaptive at interpolation doesnt help too much. Vartex are smooth at arc and corner at the bottom. I can leave it like this for render, but for 3d print I need to check these overlaping edges so I can make arc hollow.
notamondayfan
The issue you're having is with the way you're using the sweep modifier. In the settings you can change the sweep profile pivot. You it so the sweep is below / outside the spline. Then I would adjust the spline to the correct size. komyali
still it was not possible, I had too much arch to do it one by one, so I wanted to use sweep but it disort model even banking cant help. On the end I lost my nerves and done with line extrude, lost one day to finish... with sweep it would take couple seconds if it works
lautarovogel
Hi Fox Hound, to me it looks like the vertices are not weld. Go to the vertex selection mode, press ctrl+A (select all) and weld with 0.01cm threshold. Then also try to do what Dean pointed out. It works for me. Hope it helps. komyali
they were welded, then I tried to break them in to the segments and then after join them but didnt work Job is done next time I will avoid sweep
