pao yang
I am still having issues with the scaling of a linked FBX from revit into max. Both version are 2017. Is there a solution? Or is the problem still exist and we have to work around?
James Vella
have you tried changing the system units in 3dsmax to centimeters?
beestee
have you tried changing the system units in 3dsmax to centimeters? Yeah, that^^
pao yang
I mean by not having to do anything. If we still have to change the system unit then it's not fix. or not meant to be fixed.
SgWRX
still no fix. if you don't do that, you could just simply change the scale of your maps if you use something like real world units, instead of 12ft x 12ft map, you'd have to type in 1ft x 1ft. most of the time i select everything i've imported then apply reset x-form, then convert everything to edit mesh again. but yeah, no fix and i don't believe there ever will be. Larissa Holderness
@ S. GRU If you don't have a real world sized scene, your lighting will be off. Isn't this correct? This whole FBX thing is really making me irritated. Not being able to import a correct FBX into 2017 (or even 2016 it seems?), it really messes with workflow. Good job Autodesk. Justin Hunt
the geometry should be to the right scale, it is just the texture scales that are wrong
