Very slow viewport

Hey guys,

Im still a student and started rendering in 3ds max/vray. I model in revit and export to FBX, which then I import to 3ds max. I model everything in revit except like food, books, etc... to fill the scene, but its so slow. I can hardly move anything around because it keeps freezing up on me and having to wait a minute to try to move something else.

 

Im using revit 2018 and 3ds max 2018 with v-ray 3.6. I built a computer for all of this specifically. Using a Ryzen 1700 overclocked to 3.9, 16 gb of ram, 250 gb ssd, and a 1080ti.
