sophiemil
Hello, I`m new here. To be honest, I regisetred because I need help from someone who knows vray and max a way better than me I am an amateur, but I`m still learning and trying. Here`s the problem.. This is my mat editor (http://prntscr.com/gwl0mo)- notice how dark materials are. It`s because they appear really light in my scene and too saturated. I `d like to avoid that. I thought it`s gamma, but I dont know what it is anymore. Settings vray--->http://prntscr.com/gwl1ov settings max --->http://prntscr.com/gwl1vy output gamma is set to 1.0 In vray render window sRGB is off. This is the same color-----> http://prntscr.com/gwl41f Thank you so much in advance
tonyroebuck
I think maybe your burn value is too high. It could also be that your materials are too reflective if they appear light...
Chris MacDonald
sRGB should be on in the VRay frame buffer. To be honest, all the default settings straight out of the box should work fine.
Guest fractalcgi
Adding to the reflectivity comment, I would have thought that the high Fresnel IOR will be causing it to look so bright/metallic. Could be worth colour correcting the reflection map too. Fractal CGI Team http://fractalcgi.com
