stuartgibb1
Hi all, I have a small render setup consisting of a host machine and 5 Boxx renderpro units. I have been successfully distributed rendering architectural visualizations for a few years now. Until recently, all of the machines have been running Max 2015 and Vray 3.4. I recently installed Max 2017 on two of the renderpros for a colleague to use. I kept 2015 on them, so two of my machines have Max 2015 and 2017 installed. I thought everything was fine, however I am now seeing objects which don’t render in certain buckets. The missing elements can be traced back to the two machines which have 2015 and 2017 on them. I have since updated all machines to run Vray 3.6 but am still getting the same problems. The machines with just 2015 on them work fine and everything comes through in the final render. Sadly the two 2015+17 machines render some elements transparent. I am at a loss as to why it could be. All materials are referenced correctly using a networked path. I know this because the other three 2015 renderpros render fine. The two 2015+17 machines render the majority of buckets fine but appear to miss certain objects. All of the objects which get missed use textures located in a folder called ‘people’. I am not sure if this is significant. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
