julianbinstead
I'm having a weird issue with a model i'm working on right now. When rendered, the views through the windows seem duplicated or transposed in some way. (The top four left hand windows in attachment). I've tried googling, but I can't seem to word the problem in a way that gets any search results. I've included the max view of what should be coming through. This is a WIP, but feel free to make any crits if you have any too! (I know the water looks pants atm). Nicolai Bongard
Are all the individual glasspanels in the windows split up (if they are one object) and have separate smoothing groups?
julianbinstead
Nicolai, thanks for your reply. Whilst going through the steps you suggested I realised the rear poly of the glass box had somehow disappeared at some point, capping the box fixed the problem. Francisco Penaloza
It may be that your glass is single side object, if so you need to adjust the index of refraction ( reduce that value), I would recommend tho to use a solid object instead for glass. julianbinstead
Thanks to both of you. Somehow during the process of making the model I managed to remove the rear poly on the windows which were instanced. So simple I didn't even think to check.
