chrisclocher
I am tired of always modifying my limited material library. I know there are alot of software packages with good jpegs out there, but I am looking for a cheap (sub $50) with a range of materials from roof shingles, to stone to grass. Can anyone recommend any? I noticed that archvision wants $150 for groundcover!!!
IC
You really don't have to buy any. It's easy to build a library from downloaded images, self painted or modified textures or just plain old digital photographs. I try to take my camera around with me as much as I can. If I see a brick panel I like, an interesting section of road or anything that catches my eye, I photograph it. 10 minutes in Photoshop and you've got a texture map. Failing that the 3D Total textures CDs look good (about £30).
