Hello guys,

As my first post in this community I wanted to ask you guys a few questions. Since in my country (Argentina) there isn't really a culture of visualization, just a couple of great artists like Fer Neyra, there are some issues that we don't adress or even know the existence of. Ussually students get stuck with softwares like Sketchup/Vray, Artlantis, or Lumion and, since MAC is VERY expensive most of people work on windows. Reading and visting the forum for a couple of days i've learn the existence of a hole new world of the "render industry".

Said so, I really would aprecciate if any of you guys could point me the direction into this world, where to go, what to do.

Thank you for your time.

P.D. I forgot to mention Photoshop and Illustrator, we also work with those programs.

All of that is well within industry standard. you aren't 'stuck' at all. Welcome to the group and poke around a bit. There is a lot to learn.

Bienvenido compadre!.

Well, the software you mentioned are industry Standards wherever you go actually. Here in the USA everything Autodesk is a big part of the market, but also Rhino, Cinema 4D, Unreal, Unity, Twinmotion, Corona, and many others also are part of the game.

All these software are Windows based. You mentioned the high prices of MAC over there in Arrrrrrrgentina, well here they are pricey too. But needless to say, IMO they are just to show off or to make you 'look professional' There is nothing that a cheaper windows machine can't do.

As John mentioned, take a look and search around this forum, many interesting things to read and learn, pay attention to all Jeff post and news.

Best luck and see you around.

Fco.
