Guest eddie57
My friend is adding a room to an existing home and he is trying to keep costs to a minimum. Thie room will be in the back of the house. The ideal situation would be to redo the whole roof. This would be costly. The second option would have the addition's roof to meet the existing roof. Both existing and the addition's roof are hip roofs and would tie into each other. This would cause the valley's length to be about 28 feet. Would there be a problem with this regarding water drainage? Any comments are welcome. If the drawing of the existing roof and roof with the addition is needed I can provide it. thanks Eddie
BobM
If the Extention roof had a lower pitch it would meet the existing roof at a lower angle thus reducing the valley length. Regards BobM
