spencerrobertson
Since 3DS Max went to annual licensing, making it quite a lot more expensive for many...I'm curious if most of you plan to continue using it as your 3D solution. Are there any alternate workflows that any of you feel you get the same, close to, or better results from? I'm relatively new to this, so I'm wondering where I should invest my time. I have learned V-Ray, a bit of 3DS Max, some Blender and I've mastered Sketchup. I own Rhino and plan to learn that too, but I really want to focus on a solution that will be solid and future proof. I suppose my main concern is that asset purchases are often in .max format with V-Ray materials. Any way to convert these or get around 3DS if one chooses to use something else? Very interested in what you guys post and your opinions!!!
