linussjoholm
Hi, I lighten up my exterior scene with an HDRI. I’m just wondering how to get nice reflections for my exterior glass, because the reflections from the HDRI doesn’t look good at all and it doesn’t fit the environment in the scene. Is there any good way to solve this problem? Of course I can untick “Affect reflections” for the HDRI in the modifier panel. If I do that the reflections from the HDRI doesn’t appear in the glass anymore but it doesn’t look good. Is it possible to obtain the reflections from the scene environment rather than the HDRI? By the way I’m using 3ds max and vray. Thanks in advance. /canaan77
Casey Hawley
Under Render Settings > VRay > Environment, put the HDRI for lighting into 'GI' slot and use a different HDRI in the 'Reflection/Refraction' slot.
