Sawyer
I have a client looking for an animation that he wants to use for a projection display. He motioned that the overall screen would be over 4' wide. Now what kind of resolution do I need to render to to have a good looking projection output? Thanks
David Barbarash
Hmm... tough one. With a projector, things don't come out to fine differences between pixel count and image sizes. Think about a powerpoint presentation (that I know weve all been forced to sit through.) The projector itself will set the resolutoin it displays at, usually less than 1024x768. So I would just use whatever looks good on your monitor, but keep in mind that things are usually a little washed out in a projected image due to light interference. So, without actually answering your question, I'd go with a nice easy to render resolution that doesn't cripple your computer. Good Luck! Sawyer
Thanks for the reply. This is such a short notice project that I think they will get what they get.
choochee
We had such a thing before. Used regular 800X600 with no problems. The computer running the show had a screen resolution that matched it and projectors usually just project the desktop resolution and that's it... mbr
I did that a while back and I gave them 640x480 and they had a 8' screen. I contacted their tech guy and just asked him what he wanted. Other than that, it was the standard issue.
