guenther Malek
I quickly rendered a Barcelona Chair and got decent shadows on the floor. When i convert my background to a Shadow Catcher no shadow is caught... At the beginning the Alpha Channel shows few white spots , but they are gone after a few seconds. Any idea how to Catch nice Shadows? Thanks for any hint! Edited May 3, 2019 by guenthermalek
akshayarora
I think this Shadow Catcher option is in Cinema4D ? Sorry I don't have any idea about cinema 4D but I just read about this, its pretty cool option. I think 3D max has some option similar to this in Vray Properties. guenther Malek
found out was the problem was. my background´s face normals were pointing away from the camera which i did not realise because backface culling is off by default. VRay shadow catcher does not work on backside of faces...
