Super slow file save

I have posted previously about 'file bloat' - and this 'may' be related. I cannot figure this out. I occasionally get veeeerrrrrryyyy sllllllllooooowwwwwly saving files. I am uploading a sample file. This is only 40mb and it takes about five minutes to save. There is almost nothing in the file yet.

I have three options:

1. Something changed in Max 2019 that I have not yet identified that needs to be dealt with.

2. I inadvertantly clicked on some global setting that is making Max 'think' about things for a long, long time. Bitmaps perhaps?

3. Something is just getting corrupt.
