jonathan Evans
The vray frame buffer is showing colour of the standard vray material grey with yellow tint . When save the file as jpg to my desktop correct grey is produced on the image
James Vella
make sure in vray you enable the gamma curve in the VFB, this button here. The image on the right is how it should be viewed. Otherwise if your intention is the image on the left ensure you save your images with gamma disabled if saving straight to jpg (or in photoshop put a exposure adjustment and set the gamma to 0.45). If you are doing anything photorealistic then I suggest you learn to work with the gamma curve enabled, you can read more about this below: https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/gamma-correction.htm additional FYI: In general you should be working with the gamma curve enabled regardless unless you have a specific reason not to (such as linear compositing, non destructive workflow baking in the gamma etc) but otherwise save yourself the headaches and turn it on.
