Follow up question: For those of us who are learning archviz on our own and won't be able to work in a studio at some point, how many years do you think it would take to get to your level? (Assuming we work on learning archviz full time and also that we'd be able to find clients.)

It all depends on your potential - How sincerely you are taking your career and how dedicated you are towards your goals.

It will take around 3-4 months after you are LIVE with some beautiful work in this world.

The process behind is learning software, Observing the artist's eye, Maintaining libraries for quick shots, and YES most important creating a Industry standard portfolio which will stand you out.

It's all up to you how much this behind the scenes will take.
