Reference images dimensions

Hello everyone, I saw some interesting pictures that I want to recreate on max so I can render some shots, the only struggle I have is finding the dimensions of my reference inge, things like the height of a window the width of a shelve etc. Is there any way to know them or is it by eye? Thanks

usually if you don't have any dimensions, you need to look for some element in your image that you know the correct size. the model of a TV, or Table, chairs or something like that. Then after matching your camera, scale your image until it fit correctly your object, everything else will be a relative proportion of that object.

If you know any dimension then an educate guess can do the job too. There are standard sizes for doors and windows, and you can test with that.

for instance here in USA a standard residential door is about 6'8" so matching the photo to fit that dimension will do the trick.
