Vray for Sketchup monitoring CPU and GPU while rendering

Hi.

 

First... Am I in the wrong forum? Are there many sketchup users here? If so, can anyone direct me to the appropriate place for my question?

 

So, monitoring my CPU and GPU activity while rendering with vray CPU and GPU rendering engines, I found that my GPU is hardly doing any work at all, and still GPU rendering is the faster of the two.

 

My monitoring app shows:

 

During CPU rendering:

CPU works at 100% load throughout the render process. GPU is at 2%-5% throughout the render.

 

During GPU rendering:

CPU works at 100% load through the first phase of the render process (Gathering Light Cache) and for the rest of the render goes down to 2%-5%. GPU is at 2%-5% throughout the render...! (there seems to be a lot of computation going on after the first stage but both CPU and GPU are idle...!)
