yuanfengzhu
Hi Talents, Is anyone know how to place 3d furntires into a interior 360 Panorama image? Is it a way to get 360 camera from image and do camera matching in 3dsmax? Thanks Feng
Scott Schroeder
A 360 panorama is just an image mapped onto a sphere with a camera in the middle, so I suppose it is possible to match furniture to an image. If you are doing stereo VR, then this gets a lot more complicated. However, I don't suspect this will look at all accurate without a ton of work that won't really pay off in the end. The other option is to use After Effects or I think even Photoshop does it now where you can edit panorama images as you see them on the web player. John Dollus
I don't usually recommend relying upon plugins but Mettle for After Effects is perfect for this application. With a spherical background, it should be super easy to figure out the camera placement.
